Department of Wet Process Engineering
Welcome to Textile Engineering College, Noakhali(TECN) Wet Process Engineering (WPE) Department. WPE is a very new and challenging subject of study. This interdisciplinary area includes environmental science, chemistry, and engineering. The faculty is committed to teaching, research, and public service. Several faculty members hold doctoral degrees in a variety of related fields. The faculty is enriched each year by new regular faculty appointees and the return of faculty after completing higher education and research abroad. This scholarly talent adds freshness and vitality to the department of WPE. The WPE program will be recognized as the premier international program for preparing young men and women engineers for the textile industry and beyond. This recognition will be based upon the excellence of entering students, faculty, resources, educational experiences, student and faculty diversity, and impact on the industry. We earnestly emphasize a healthy and intimate teacher-student relationship so that each student’s true potential is comprehended. The department’s relationship with the local industries is strengthened through various programs such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and events. The department of WPE aims not only to produce efficient engineers but also well-educated, reliable leaders who can contribute to the country’s development by enriching our industries.
About The Department
Textiles are essential for Bangladesh’s economy, and yarn spinning is a key part of this industry. Many yarn factory managers in Bangladesh are graduates of our Yarn Engineering program.
We have a fully equipped lab with modern and traditional yarn-making machines for hands-on learning. We also organize visits to factories so students can see the latest industry trends.
Our students learn all about fibers and how to turn them into high-quality, affordable yarn. We also offer fiber, yarn, and fabric testing, and conduct research to help the spinning industry grow.
